Nice! Can you give some more details? How far out and how deep of water were you in? were you free or scuba diving?

This was on scuba. We got lost trying to find the 2nd reef at night due to bad visibility. Went down somewhere around 25 feet and swam around till we found the reef and shot the hog. We swam NW back to the beach and hit up a couple reef patches on the way back. Saw a couple yellow tails and mangroves that were too spooked to close the distance on. Couple lobsters very shallow, below 15 feet.

Anyone been out lately? Hows the water been looking? I haven't gotten my gills wet in about a month now.

Re: Ft. Lauderdale Spearos

Kayak dove some wrecks off Pompano in ~80 feet. Shot 2 hogs. My GoPro decided to turn itself off after 30 seconds or I would've gotten some neat footage of a 400lb Goliath.

The moon jellies are here. Had to swim through a mess of them to get down.

Your GoPro stops shooting because you either need a faster Memory card or you didn't format the card right, I recommend formatting using the same GoPro settings not the computer.

Re: Ft. Lauderdale Spearos

It could be, but I turned it on at home and it recorded for over 5 minutes.

I also flooded this thing earlier this year. I was able to recover, but with a broken display screen. It's all sorts of sketchy now. Just waiting for the POS to die so I can buy a foscam.

Re: Ft. Lauderdale Spearos

I am going to ft lauderdale on vacation next week. Is the main beach good for a shore dive or can anyone recommend a charter in area or point me in right direction? Appreciate it thanks
