Sporttube to borrow/rent/sale?
Hi guys,
I'm prepare to Panama trip and looking for spearguns case (need one which fits 20cm wide fins too). Sportube looks great, but I hate to pay $200 for the thing I will use once a year. Does anyone allow me to rent yours for $$ compensation? Or maybe someone want to sell it for a reasonable price? The trip scheduled April 6-16. Hope to kill some nice fish over there Please PM. Thanks! |

Re: Sporttube to borrow/rent/sale?
Sorry, I'm in montreal. If you buy one, get the no3, the biggest one. I have a no2 and it's a tight fit. The weight is practically the same so might as well get the bigger one. I also use mine for my ski trips =)

Re: Sporttube to borrow/rent/sale?
As I understood, the Series 3 is 14" wide, when Series 2 is 10". Third sounds to wide for me...
But I would rather go with your advice. Thank you! |

If you want to go specifically for BW spearfishing, IMHO you need to go to Hannibal Bank area, but consider a 5-8hours driving from airport (traffic is crazy). Hope this helps. Here is short video with me and my brother (his first spearfishing ever): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGjq8_M_1SE |

Re: Sporttube to borrow/rent/sale?
tks for the info. I was also looking into Panama.
I have my favorites spots in Mexico and in the Bahamas. I always go back. My friends are always telling me: try something new.. But the some times you end up wasting a week looking for good spots... Panama is still on my list... |

Re: Sporttube to borrow/rent/sale?
Agador, I liked the video. Nice job on the editing and music. The Costa Rician shore was a bit murky too. We did some BW and offshore reef diving which was challenging. There was a fare bit of travel involved. It is not easy to find good places to dive and it gets expensive.
Dive in Canada have you been back to San Salvador? I really liked the diving there. Super remote a bit sharky though. I would love to go there in the summer when to the seas are calm on the eastern side. i think very few people get over there. How are the conditions in Mexico? I was think also of trying a liveaboard spear charter. |

No haven’t been back. Last time I was there was at Club Med so diving on tanks only.
I’ll be back in Mexico end of July in Tulum. Never dove there. Can’t wait! And I should be on a charter in the Bahamas next year in March. That’s the best experience.. dive every morning to catch dinner..=) |
