Re: Gagalicious

Beautiful! Hope you guys can make it back there for the SPO. I'd like to see what else you could get from that spot.

Re: Gagalicious

great fish and glad everyone came back ok. You did the right thing shooting the fish. Fish move and next time the spot could be bare. Guess, you'll find out in 2 weeks. Hope, nobody else will be sitting there upon your arrival. Let us know how your "secret spot" does for you guys.

Re: Gagalicious

Great fish guys. I'm glad I wasn't foolish enough to run 80 miles out, and dodge thunder storms all day. At least you guys shot some quality fish worth posting pictures of.

Rich
I'm glad the gun worked out for you. Sounds like you broke it in right.

Re: Gagalicious

Those are some great fish and a good account. You never did say how deep you were though and you said that you went to the far west side of the grounds. I thought that that was farther than 80 miles. From Manatee County of course it is a lot further. We have done the "time is up before you hit the bottom thing" fighting the current in the grounds and good job in resisting the temptation to make that one more attempt. It is not easy swimming away from that scene. You sure made what could have been a bust into a memorable trip.

Re: Gagalicious

Rich, in your avatar I was looking at that sweet above the deck custom fish box. Is that the box of death on JBYs boat?

Scott, The transom does have good storage in it but the boxes are up in the front towards the bow. There was a pretty good write up on the boat in Spearfishing Magazine a couple of issues ago showing lots of pictures of the dual boxes and how the boat is set up. Its about as good a set up as you could make in a go fast type dive boat.IMO

Heck, seems like I know that boat better than I know my own boat here lately.
