Your guns are nothing short of works of art. Well done as always! Definitely would love to see these in Majd style pool tests.

Seems it's properly tested.

Another excellently finished and engineered cable gun. How deep do you imbed those wire anchors in the stock?

I've always preferred dead fish on the deck as the test.

Video is preferred though!

Re: Gladiator Spartacus 2019

Very pretty and well built guns! One thing to note … with rollers … getting your band and shaft setup correctly is much more difficult than with a classic setup as there are many more variables. A small change in the band stretch or band diameter or pre-stretch or a small change in the shaft diameter or wishbone setup, has a huge impact on accuracy and performance. So I would say that for a roller setup, it is much more critical to pool test your setup than with a classic setup to make sure you are getting the most out of your gun.

That's correct. But some things comes with expirience. For me main problem is find same band behaviour every season. I preffer softer rubber but this year almost all manufacturers have strong bands.
If you can find same band setting up the roller is not a problem.

There seems to be something that people forget and that is marksmanship. Guys with rather ordinary guns can be great shots, they know their gun and adapt to it, and they don't spend hours in a pool making tweaks and adjustments. In their mind's eye they can see the shaft flying and they know where to aim for a hit. You cannot take marksmanship out of a box, you develop it through experience and pumping out plenty of shots under a wide range of conditions and orientations as you take the shot.

yes but there on the occasion, we speak of a 1500 € speargun,(
3x the price of a pathos) we can be a bit demanding.

a German rifle at the same price comes with its validation target

We can talk about that validation... Adding washers, melting plastic around handle....

We all don't have same shooting habits. If speargun is adjusted to one person, that doesn't mean someone else would be satisfied. As Majd said earlier many small things can have affects on shaft behaviour.
I am trying to reduce all negative things. Working a lot on handles, various band setups, etc.
Of course if I have a pool in my backyard some pool test videos would be done.

Re: Gladiator Spartacus 2019

Band rubber can vary from batch to batch as it ain't always made from the same bunch of trees and the weather conditions vary and affect the quality of the latex over successive growing years. If you find a good batch then you can store it for many years in an airtight metal container where fresh oxygen and atmospheric pollution cannot get to it, but that means buying a lot of it.

No doubt based on consistent load ammo.
