video with Blurfix for GoPro

I recently put the Blurfix lens on the GoPro 960 and shot a bunch of video with it down here in Panama. The lens works pretty darn good. I made a handle for the housing so u can hold it in one hand and shoot with the other, worked out pretty good i think. I just quickly threw this clip up on Vimeo....... http://vimeo.com/35840552

Re: video with Blurfix for GoPro

Anybody using the Blurfix with the HD2 yet, or at least tried to? Heard a rumor that the HD2 won't fit. Wanted to find out more.

Thankfully I have the Eye of Mine housings - no issues with the HD2s.

The BlurFix only replaces the outer ring of the GoPro housing. The stock GoPro lens and seal are kept in place. Since the GoPro HD and HD2 use the same housing, it works just fine.

And here is the installation video Blurfix Installation Video - YouTube Takes about 10-15 minutes.

Follow the GoPro instructions of testing your housing at depth, after installing the BlurFix adapter, and before using it with a camera.

If I had to do it over again, I would have bought a set of filters at the same time. http://www.snakeriverprototyping.com/products.html

Hope this answers your question.

I use the BlurFix with the HD Hero 2 and the video is very nice. Here is a video I shot using it. When you see the narrow screen and vignetting that is a HD Hero that my buddy has and he uses a regular flat lens.

Looks like your buddy was using the narrow FOV and not wide like how yours looks. I use medium and wide 1080 and I don't get that much vignetting. It looks much like yours.
