Video: Crazy Current

I recently took some video of what it looks like on the surface when the current is screaming in our local waters. To be honest,
this was unusual, but Kevin wanted to try to dive in this kind of current. I'm sure the current was over 4 kts.

The front float is a double float and then that is followed by a MAKO HP 15 liter float. He had at least 350 ft of line out on his reel.

Good lord! I thought for a while there that this was a trolling video until I noticed the nearly submerged floats! That is insane to be outside of a channel and still have that type of current.

Re: Video: Crazy Current

Agree. Was that in the Gulf Stream, JFJF?

Re: Video: Crazy Current

It is as described in the narration, a reef in 110 feet of water. The Gulf Stream meanders in and out.

Understood. I'm a bit ignorant as to the machinations of the stream in your area.
