Good week
Can't have asked for a better week to be off weather wise, surprised the viz hasn't been better. Dove from Suffolk to Breezy and found the best viz in Breezy which was about 12ft, the worst so far has been about 5 feet.
The past two days were pretty good, got a Bass for Fish tacos and a bunch of Triggers on the pole spear. Pole spear Triggers are fun. Took off the wet suit today and was real comfortable without the 18lbs of weight. Nothing like diving in the morning, hitting the beach in the afternoon, and fishing into the sunset. The only down side has been the bugs, they've been voracious. It's not even the mosquitoes, it's the green headed mother fckrs and regular flies biting the sh t out of my ankles. Good story and pictures. Nice looking conditions on the water in the third pic. Which one do you reckon is worse, Greenhead or the biting black fly??? I know which one is way easier to kill, but bites a lot harder!

i thought i saw you and ya misses on the jetty the other day noticed the flopper on the pole spear nice set up better than the 3 prong i had a slip tip on mine years ago for bass cya ya out there some time Dave |

The bite from the Green head is definitely worse.

The satisfaction of a greenfly kill almost makes the bite worth it. The endless biting and swatting of the black fly could cause me to leave the beach. Nice haul. Was a good week for diving. Crowds made it a little challenging at times. Had at it with a boat that was flying a dive flag but had no divers. Part of their strategy in pushing others off of a good piece of trigger structure. They were rnr and were pissed at having company.
