Fisherman's Rally Washington D.C.

Attended the fisherman's rally in Washington D.C. yesterday, the turnout was not as high as expected but there were fisherman commercial and recreational, charter and headboat alike united on one front.Reform Magnuson now.Although the turnout was not as high as we wanted we had four times as many speakers with heavy weights such as John Kerry,Barney Frank,Scott Brown, and Charles Schumer.Local congressman included Scott Sutherland R-Panama City area, and my favorite Allen West from central Florida.Got to speak with local and other coastal representatives, many new "freshman" that were really not aware of the impact of NGO's and envioromentalist influence on our fisheries management system.Well alot more are aware now.I can only stress to keep writing and calling and if you have friends or relatives in non-coastal states tell them to contact their congressman and vote to reform magnuson now ,not after the election. This is where support is most needed.
