An awesome how to video from the crew at mako on how to tie your bands

Recived this in my email a few day's a go and thought it would be very useful to our members and handy to have this posted on our web site. It is a short video on speergun band tying and how to make up your bands.

Forming the constrictor knot that way certainly works, but it also drives me nuts. There is a simpler way.

Forming the constrictor knot - YouTube
With that method, you form the knot and slip it over the end of the band before inserting the wishbone. Its just a single constrictor knot, but I finish by tying a couple of square knots on opposite sides, and they haven't slipped yet.

Another idea is to use a drop of Super Glue on the knot to protect it from abrasion and make sure it doesn't unravel.
