Very cool. Manta and a whale shark are on my "hope to see one day" list.

Re: HeadHunter Video
Tyson, we usually see a half dozen or less in a normal year. Usually when the waters cooler but not always. Off of Hudson I've never seen one East of the MG but off Sarasota or farther south, I've seen them shallower.

The divemasters told us hug to the reef when they would come up, and the mantas would swoop right over you. Basically brushing you with their wings. Over in Pompano Beach, one time in high school my family stayed there I think in June, and mantas would swim along shore, maybe 10 yards out, on a regular basis. Fast boogers when they want to be - I managed to touch the tip of one's tail. |

Re: HeadHunter Video
I would like to give a huge “thank you” to Dan and Ben for allowing me to show their videos at my spearfishing seminars. These videos are a very powerful teaching tool that make my job much easier. Their videos give you a spot on “birds eye view” of exactly how professional shooters use proper shop placement and shot angle to take down fish of virtually any size using only one band and a Freeshaft (no line attached to the spear). The videos they provide are a great way to pass on their experience and knowledge to the next generation of shooters and their contribution to our great sport is greatly appreciated. Keep the great videos coming guys.......we need as many as we can get!
