That vis is awesome. Curious why you go with a net and tickle stick, seems a snare would streamline your gear and make things easier for you? Either one of the green spring loaded ones or just a simple loop of coated wire on a metal tickle stick.

I initially learned to just use a stick and my hands, then learned to use the net. I know some people (who catch more lobster than me) use a snare but I have never mastered that tool. I think the snare can be quicker, but in the open I think the net might be better.

As for the fast ball down the middle - that was pretty lucky!
