Great white in Fort pierce
yesterday , during the fort pierce open, first stop at 6:30 am was 130ft a little north of F.P. inlet. we just dropped the flashers in and had one diver in the water untangling his float line when he seen something huge out of the corner of his eye. he immediately swam back to the boat with his gun drawn on the shark and jumped back in the boat. as we were all wondering what was going on we see this huge fin follow him to the edge of the boat. we then got a camera ready and had to confirm the suspected sighting, and this is what we got.

Re: Great white in Fort pierce
after watching him circle off and on for 20 min, we left and didnt even stop at the 90ft ledge. we went straight back to some 40 ft areas and were still paranoid as hell.

That's got make you wonder what if he hadn't seen that Shark The way white sharks attack as a diver it doesn't seem like you would have much of a chance. Wasn't there another guy on here that caught one on video after missing an AJ somewhere around Fort Pierce?

Re: Great white in Fort pierce
Just got back from NorCal where I was paranoid as hell. Was looking forward to some deep, relaxing, blue. I think I'll stick to beach diving a little while longer. To my knowledge, no one has ever seen them in shallow on our coast.
Great video though. I bet you could get on the news with that

If you want to know more about his research, this is his website. http://www.marinecsi.org/about-us/ His name is Micheal Domier. He could probably look at the two videos and tell you in a couple minutes. Tell him Keith sent you his way. Cool video, they are the single most impressive critter I've ever seen underwater. |
