Are these fins safe? Are they really new?
I can't get to a dive shop to do a comparison so please tell me if you think these supposedly new fins are ok and not likely to snap at depth. I've been resisting getting carbon fins for a long time so that's why I have no clue but they look used and / or defective to me. Most telling pic is #3

I have a dive buddy that has a pair of the c4 red falcon fins. He swears by them, although I don't think his has any chipped marks like the ones in the pics. Personally, I wouldn't use them in that condition. Especially at depth. Just my 2 cents

Yes they are fine. They were created with a machine towards the end of its life, but they will not break from freediving. What you see is not from being used.

i bought some new C4 red falcons that looked similar. 2 years of being scraped on oil rigs and they're holding up fine.

Doesn't mean they are working as good as they should.

Re: Are these fins safe? Are they really new?
It's just a void in the resin , it's really just cosmetic problem . But that doesn't mean you should buy them

Re: Are these fins safe? Are they really new?
Cosmetic only. The fibers are fully saturated just a little miss in a couple spots is normal. I had fins that had those all over the place and they're holding up perfectly. Less resin= better but the more voids you'll find.
I'll show a picture later of my fins

Give Maverick America a call. They are C4 USA and they will be happy to explain why the fins are like that sometimes. Here is the number 910-679-4513. I have a pair of C4 with that and they have never done me wrong.
