Even with a motor the Tandem loaded is under 10k with trailer.

LOL,Probably wont happen till Feb/march.My son is making payments on my 26 leisurecat and Im working a deal on the bayliner for a Submariner and a few pistols. Then I only have the fish n ski to possibly sell and the little Rascal sailboat.
Goal is to get ALL the toys out of my yard before spring so I dont have to move them every week when I mow.
This boat can do a little of everything on the cheap and relative comfort even for my tore up body.No heavy mast to step and setup is about 10 minutes!
If I get it you are welcome to go for a fishing or camping trip. That or just sail and burn cigars.

Re: Hobie tandem Island

Went today to look again at a new Tandem Island. Not going to be a good boat for me.At 6'2"and around #230 the max capacity on the boat is #600.Two guys, cooler, two spearguns and freedive gear and its maxxed out.
Sold my sailboat too soon!

Re: Hobie tandem Island

Kayak? Well, the floating thing is based on a kayak... but it is far faaaaaaaaaar away from what I could consider a Kayak!

For me one of the joys of the kayak is how light (relatively) and easy to move arround is (on top of my van). That thing requires (as you stated) a trailer and you can even install a motor.

Don't they make an even bigger one to haul more stuff/people?
