2009 CA Abalone report card

The new abalone card is supersized - measuring at 13" X 6"

The material of the 09 report card is like the instruction sheet of the 2008 report card.
Tags are bigger, zip ties can go thru the holes without ripping the tags.

Definitely an improvement over 2008.

I like the bigger holes, maybe the tags will stay on from the shore all the way to my truck this year.

Now can you write on them? My lobster card was better material than my ab card. We all know if you don't have a magic pen it wipes right back off.

19.70$! That is crazy. You can see it on top of the card.

It looks way better then last season. I was going to send a letter to complain about the difficulty to write on, and use the tiny tags from last year. I guess they figured it out already.

Lots of people complained. Looks like you can use a regular sized zip tie now too. It will be nice to be able to actually write inside the boxes

Re: 2009 CA Abalone report card

The larger size is an improvement I'll really appreciate. It was downright humiliating to have to pull my reading glasses out of the dry box in order to fill out the tag. Youngsters I dive with thought that was a real hoot!

Ron, that was nice to here that I wasn't the only poor sole that had to pack "readers" into my Otter box. It killed me around the young bucks !!!
