Let's get this started!
Got my fingers crossed for this fall, hope we don't get a repeat of last year.

Re: 2013-2014 Mushroom season
A little help needed identifying. They were under pine needles spaced about 4 inches apart from each other at about 6,000ft in the sierras. Scaly Chanterelles or white Chanterelles? |

Thank you. I had come to that conclusion but it's nice to get the opinion of others with more experience than my own.

Re: 2013-2014 Mushroom season
Did OK on morels this past spring. Some pretty big ones.
How about ranking your favorite mushrooms? Mine 1. Porcini 2. Bue=ovoli=Amanita 3. Morels 4. Hedgehogs-ground version (only found once ) 5. Diate (coral) 6. Manzanita 7. Chanterelle* 8. Trumpets* *=never found, but have eaten them 9. Lion's mane (tree version) 10. Oricchelle (oysters) I have never tried it, but corn smut intrigues me. Anyone ever tried it? I keep thinking I've missed one..... |
