Re: Gladiators!

Are these trimming weights (?), although not the same each side that may not matter as their lateral spacing is nothing compared to overall mass of the gun body. Thick doubled up bands in the band battery and a brimful of line on the reels looks like these are destined to poke holes in some worthwhile specimens.

Nice finish on the grip handles and I notice one gun body is three types of timber (or color staining) running side to side or is that just an effect of the lighting? Answering my own question I guess it is the latter as not evident when looking from underneath. Great job as usual, well done!

Hi Pete!
That trimming weights I usually made different if camera mount is on the gun. But we are talking about 15-20 grams so as you said, it's negligible.

No, there are no three wood types, just iroco and two outside laminates are mahogany. I put it because it's a little stiffer than iroco. Of course it weight more but that laminates have small volume so it doesn't matter.
That third wood type is in fact iroco too, but from different source. And that dark iroco I like most. It's from Gabon I think. Laminates are very light but straight as ruler.

Re: Gladiators!

Impeccable guns as usual. Would love to see some test shots, or real world video of them in use. What are the specs on the shaft?
