Mini Season Key West
Headed down to the Keys last Friday. Weather changed our plans to make the 200 mile boat ride from Tarpon Springs so we trailered to Naples then made the 85 mile run the next morning. Weather was great the entire week. Took a charter with Capt Jimmy Bailey on the Hooked Up Too on Monday. Did great. Wife got her first wahoo and our friend got her personal best. She ordered a full mount. The fish went 50, 35, 25 pounds on the scale. Added a few mahi also. First day of mini season we were done in 40 minutes. Big bugs at that!. Day two we finished a little later as we waited to go out when no one could see us idle from the condo to our secret spot. . The ride back to Naples was challenging as well. Florida Bay always seems like a washing machine. Anyway here are a few pics of our trip.
