Trip report Stillwater Cove Pebble Beach

Went with Robert Watson yesterday and went Hunting in Stillwater Cove at Pebble Beach. It was a spectacular day, warm, water flat and visibility was great. We hunted north of the Castle House, thousands of urchins, stopped at Fire Rock, urchins everywhere. A lot of urchins also inside of the cove. It’s a true nightmare for the ecosystem. We already saw urchins eating on the kelp.
Good news, we found a kelp bed that was holding my favorite fish to hunt, Olive rockfish. I love stocking these fish around the bed. It was a great dive day. I can’t wait to eat fresh fish.
