Re: New at this

I'm such an asshole with no formal training I would drop your weight belt, gun and ab iron if it came down to it!!!

So by formal training do you mean actually wearing a tux in the water?? Like prom??

I'm sorry I couldn't help myself.....all in good fun!!

Re: New at this

I had fun out there! I'm looking forward to the tides next week. 2.5 foot exchange on Saturday and a 3 foot exchange on Sunday. Anyone up for diving with me? I could use some company. Despite the previous posts i dove solo...on scuba. No one needs to shout at me. I would like to get out and free dive if someone will show me the ropes.

Honestly if a guy is fine knowingly not following safety i dont care... mainly im just clearing up the errors in the thread so new guys arent out there with 25lbs of lead on them being neutral at 15ft and diving 100 yards apart because conditions are less then favorable because they think thats the correct way to do it. remember guys all over the world read this... you may get some one killed by typing incorrect info.

Good luck and dive safe, or not...
Hi Kenny, thanks for using your real name.

I never said or implied that the diving in OR sucks (the viz can be tough but the diving rules). Nor did I say that safety isn't important to us, I even thanked you for bringing it to the discussion. I ended my post with an invitation to come dive with us. Bummer you had to jump to the conclusion that I was throwing mud. Anyway, it's all good. I can see that you've gotten to know the crew the bit.

Dive safe and have fun.
