Really cool. Glad it worked. I want to make one covered in Garibaldi, urchin and Zebra perch.

Re: DIY Camo wetsuit for Cali
It is hard to paint a black wetsuit. I think may have to paint a lighter color such as white first under design. I am going to order the aquaseal and solvent to try out.

Re: DIY Camo wetsuit for Cali
did the paint and Aquaseal effect the flexibility of the suit, does the paint crack where it stretches?

Re: DIY Camo wetsuit for Cali
It can crack if you don't go thin on the layer's. It's not stiff at all im still testing it out i don't know how the UV's will effect it.

Re: DIY Camo wetsuit for Cali
There is a type of acrylic paint for fabrics or an additive that is added to acrylic paint so it can be painted on fabrics. It normally specifies heat to set it after painting though. Available at Michaels, Walmart, craft stores etc.

Re: DIY Camo wetsuit for Cali
Suit looks good. Although I don't believe camo makes a difference, after having used both camo and non-camo. It does make for better pictures though.

It's all about style.
Look good, Feel Good and have a good time on the water. Fish will try to use the kelp suit for cover. |
