A Wreck & Reef w/ the MAKO Wood gun

Today's dive in 80 feet or so. Got to shoot a soon to be released MAKO wood gun (130cm).
Gun shot well, is balanced well and I landed all the fish I shot. It was set up with three bands, but I only needed two and was too lazy to remove the third.
The trigger and mech is really smooth.

Also, my fist video shooting the Hero 8, not really sure I see a big difference between this and my Hero 4?

Whew...that current creates a lot of multi-tasking. BTW, just an observation, IMO, trying harder to move the lobster net behind them slower and non-threatening would help. Back seat driver here. Understood...the current always amplifies matters.

I think your video clarity is very crisp. I use the GoPro 5 for the past year and have been happy with it. Don't routinely have the viz you have on E coast of course.

Nice shooting Jim! New GoPro looks great, the 4K makes a huge difference if you have a computer that can edit it. Looks like the gun is pretty accurate

What does a wood gun do that a metal one won't?
Looking for a new gun for my son.

Grow on trees?

This particular gun is heavier than a typical pipe gun. It has enough mass to handle three bands easily without too much recoil.
