Completed 53" Midhandle build
I think teak and wenge might be my favorite new wood combo. I built this gun for the Montauk Monster Spearfishing contest which is going down in a couple weeks. The gun is 53" long has a 5/16" shaft, 14mm small ID bands and Neptonics hardware.

Re: Completed 53" Midhandle build
Wait! Mid handle US gun and IT IS NOT squarish-boxy-blocky looking??? Teppered on both ends?? Roundish/oval section??
In al seriousness, that's probably the best looking mid handle gun I have ever seen. Looks awesome and I bet it shoots great as well. Good job! |

I played around with it the other night and it performed as expected. I was shooting at a full two wraps from the target, I measured 23 feet from the end of the muzzle to the tip of the shaft. |

None of my guns is meant for that kind of shooting, and I don't really need anything like that in my hunting grounds, but sure it is a great performer. Good job Dean! |

Great looking gun. It looks like it has enough weight to it to manage recoil pretty well. How does it shoot?
