New Ponce guy
I'm just starting this thread to introduce myself and say hello. My Name is nick born and raised in Daytona Beach, I'm 29 y/o been free diving since I was about 11 and scuba diving for about 8 yrs, although only in the last year have I been diving regularly 70-100 feet out of Ponce. Prior to that I only dove on vacations and in 20 feet or less which doesn't really count. I've been fishing these waters on my own boat for about 7 years, bottom fishing and trolling. I started diving out of here out of pure fascination as to what the structures I've been going to all those years actually look like and the more I dive out of our inlet the more I learn and the more I want to dive. I'm looking to expand my dive buddy call list with guys I can learn better skills from. I'm really looking for guys that put safety first but also know how to hunt, like to teach and have good attitudes. If you're an angry fisherman we probably won't get along. Basically when we fish we divide up the expenses by the people on the boat, my boat is thirsty, she only gets 1-1.2 mpg but she's comfortable so I like to have at least 4 guys to make the fuel bill not sting anyone to bad. You can either keep what you kill, split it with your dive buddy or throw it in a pile and split it with the boat. But typically it's take what you kill but no one ever goes home empty handed. Anyway if you would like me to keep you in mind for my next trip pm me your number. My schedule varies week to week and sometimes I have weekdays off and other weekends but I try to get out there at least once a week.

Re: New Ponce guy
Welcome! I moved over here from Gainesville about a year ago. Great area for scuba, and I would like to try some bluewater freediving stuff, especially while the cobia are running through. Maybe Sunday or Monday depending on weather.
Anyone have experience bluewater hunting out of ponce? |

What's up buddy! Tuttle here, let's go fishing sometime man I get 2 weeks off every month. Usually on my Andros everyday while home but a trip on Seadated always looks like it's productive and fun!! Plus I don't get sea sick and sleep the whole trip like some people (Jaron)! I'll PM my # always down to fill the gas tank and the cooler
