Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Hit Narragansett yesterday evening on incoming tide. Pretty bad visibility, but better than expected (6-8 ft).
Plenty of fish but kind of small... Tons of school stripers chasing bait, togs, scups, see bass but no good sizes. Ended up with 32" striper and it was so skinny, like undernourished. I suspect bigger fish went to deep areas. Any reports from upper in the bay? |

Newport, Sachuest Pt. on low tide (evening). Awful viz, 2-4 ft mostly, better in rare spots. Spooky fish. Got couple togs though.
Met two other spearos on the water (hi Chris and Shawn!). |

Dove around the Watch Hill area. Viz was 8 to 15 feet. Shot a monster Bass and a few Tog. The water was calm and felt really nice.

Castle Hill area yesterday on the outgoing tide. Limited on togs, got one trigger, missed my chance on a large lone bass. Vis was 6-8 feet.

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Incredible clear water in Jamestown (Macrel cove). 15-20 ft all the way from surface to 55ft. Plenty of underwater life. Shoot one of the rare species, looks like jack almaco. Beautiful day and dive!

Re: Daily Vis Report Thread
Saw a seal swimming 50ft off a beach just north of the jamestown bridge.
Is it strange they are in the bay at this time of year? There was a lot of menhaden around also... |
