Conditions in monterey / carmel?

Anyone been out this week? I have a day off tomorrow but the swell looks bad.

Re: Conditions in monterey / carmel?

we went out in upper big sur this weekend. it was bumpy but divable and maybe 15 -20 ft vis. but the swells gone up since then, maybe dive carmel if you're going to go before Saturday. good luck, dive safe!

Thanks! Guessing Stillwater Cove is going to have less swell.

MAY 9

Considering Carmel or Monterey tomorrow. Prob solo dive, just wondering if anyone else will be around as it's good to dive near others i think...

Also might bring the ladyyyyyyyy but she will either read a book or tan or both

Followup

Met up with Kon and some other divers- hit Lovers point area - it was a lake

Great vis (30+ft) until kelp beds where it dropped 8ft maybe

Water temp felt pretty cold around 40ft down in kelp beds with, not sure if thermoclines are a big thing, but I could feel the temp change on my face and extremities

.

I saw a barely legal ling and schools small fish - nothing i wanted to filet.

Good day overall
