New Caledonia
I will be in Noumea in three weeks and looking to get in the water. Does anybody have any contact information for charters or guides? Thanks for your help.

Re: New Caledonia
Nope, other than the diving is fantastic, and there's a few Surf Tour Operators there who are also Spearos.

Re: New Caledonia
How did your trip go? I've wanted to do a surf/dive trip there for a long time. Anyone have any recommendations on chartering a sailboat around there? I'd love to go explore the barrier reef in a boat.

Re: New Caledonia
I have no idea about chartering a boat, and unless you speak good french be prepared to be ripped off. But they love Americans there. I saw a lot of people diving from shore on the main island. The east side of the island doesn't have as large of a lagoon, and some of the people I worked with preferred to dive there. I ended going with a scuba operator to Far Amede because i got delayed during my traveling. It was pretty spectacular scuba diving. There are reserves there too. The wind blows like hell there.
