This coming weekend

Hello all,
The plan is that we will be at the shore for the weekend, and if so, I will post here Saturday what my take on the vis is. Surf is good for Sunday and I expect reasonable vis.
On a side note, if things continue the way it was last sunday, we're going to need a parking attendant out at the rock.

Tom, if you're there tomorrow morning I might run into you. Not literally I hope.

Re: This coming weekend

Good morning,
Sitting here at Stimulus coffee, a beautiful day. Last night the water was pretty green, and at Tierra del Mar, looked that way this morning, but here there is a somewhat clearer look to things. So, we will go out on the rocks later at high tide for a closer look, but right now I will probably paddle out around 10 tomorrow morn. I will post again when I get a better look.
No sign of Kyle , yet...

Re: This coming weekend

Did come across Kyle shortly after that post, and sorry to report that he was in the company of a seedy looking bunch of characters. They had experienced poor vis but plenty of fishes and no current. I made it out today but the current was waiting for me, and I didn't last long. Met a fellow named Alex in his sturdy and practical inflatable yak. Inshore the water was reasonably clear, and a few hundred feet out it went brown with a mix of various shades of blurry green around the rock. And that darn current. Good luck on your outing, Cliff!

Re: This coming weekend

Hey Tom,

Sorry to hear that you had to fight the current! I had quite a bit of current to fight as well... And there were a ton of fisherman everywhere. Still managed to do okay though. I posted a pic in the other thread

Re: This coming weekend

We had about five feet of visibility and I managed to see only one ling. But the current wasn't bad.
