Sarasota band supplies?

Hello all. I am very new to spearfishing and am in need of some advice. I recently finished modifying my Biller 42 special to an open muzzle. I also switched to the Floridian shaft which I LOVE! Drilled a hole in the shaft for the shooting line, filed and smoothed down the notches for spectra wishbones (will post pics in another thread once I find out how haha.) Upgrading the bands to said spectra wishbones is last on the list for now...

After doing a lot of reading on which band thickness/length combo would be best, I quickly learned that there are more than a few different opinions out there! I have decided that in order to fit my needs best, I want to purchase a few meters of the Rob Allen BLUE 16mm rubber and try a few different length combos. I also want to use an orange spectra line inside the rubber with green spectra (2mm) wishbone line. I would like to be able to change out JUST the wishbone line quickly if frays are detected. I hear those RA rubbers usually outlast the wishbones. My vanity is getting the best of me, I know. Most of you are probably laughing at my fancy pants color combo but go ahead an laugh it up! I want what I want

Anyways, my question to any Sarasota locals is if you guys might now where to get this stuff. I always prefer to buy at my LDS to support our city and the people in it, but I'm having a pretty tough time. Especially with this blue rubber. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know ocean pros on Bee Ridge has pre-made spectra wishbones with the plugs on them. I just need 2 small spools of spectra line (one green and one orange) as well as the blue rubber and waxed ties.

You can order what you need online. I have ordered band material from Florida Freeshafters in West Palm Beach. They may have exactly what you need. I dont think locally you will find it. I dont have any of that stuff. Spectra wishbones last years without any fraying. You really would never have to change out the wishbones before the band material, unless you had a problem with rough metal parts. Ihave some that are 7 years old and look new, and they have 100s of trips on them, and who knows how many 1000s of shots on them. A 42 Biller is already an open muzzle. What did you do different? I hope you didnt ruin it as that is a pretty good muzzle to begin with. A 42 is pretty small, is that your hole gun?

I did wind up ordering everything online. Good call on Florida freedivers and mako.

My stock biller came with a semi-open muzzle. The stock shaft had to be fed through the front tip of the gun, by the back end of the shaft, which would let the slide ring lock into place at the front end of the muzzle. I wound up bending the stock shaft (nobody told me these things don't shoot around corners ) and upgraded to the thinner Floridian shaft. This shaft could be loaded by simply sliding the back end into the trigger mech and firmly pressing down on top of the shaft where it meets the muzzle to jam it through the crack.

All I did was basically file down the inside gap of the muzzle to allow tr shaft to freely slide down into place on the rail. I cut off the slide ring on the shaft and drilled a small hole just above the band notches, which is where I attached my shooting line. I then filed two small horizontal grooves on the uppermost frontward facing part of the muzzle to wrap the line over top of the shaft line many of the higher-end guns seem to be doing. She shoots straight, smooth, fast, and reloading seems to be quicker and easier. Again, I will post pics soon, I'm sure nobody on earth can understand what I just wrote hah.
