Need Help Identifying This Fish
Hello! I see these all the time diving and some nice sizes. I was wondering:
Which kind of fish this is? Is it legal to spear? Is it good to eat? It looks like a type of porgy? But not sure, never seen it in any regulations manual etc. Thanks!

They have a different texture than normal white flakey fish. Good in fish cakes. Follow the recipe on the old bay can for crab cakes but substitute crab with cooked fish. It doesn't flake apart as easy and it comes out nice.

So what are the regulations? All you can catch? Or any size limitations?
