Is the treasure coast still a good spearfishing spot???

Hey everybody. I have a rare opportunity to come to the Treasure coast for a few days (Jan 20-25) Does anyone have any recent info on best place to find some bugs of livable reefs 20-40 feet that contain shootable fish? thanks to anyone who is willing to share with this Michigan boy. (I wouldn't mind free diving with someone if someone out there is looking for a dive buddy for a few days.)

I don’t think you’re going to have any vis with the weather we’ve been having.

ok thanks. how do you check vis besides just going? Is there a dive shop that I could call when it gets closer?

Otherwise i may just drive down to Pompano or lauderdale.

Check the beach cams, shops are hit or miss on vis reports. I’ve been using VeroBeachcam.com for years. Gotten some nice bugs from Sebastian to ft pierce only 50-300yds off the beach over the years

Beach cams aren't worth a damn. Lol. I have a dive shop in Vero and run the only consistent Dive boat on the treasure coast. Call me at 321-210-3774
