3/10 LWI- Bluewater Cobia Limit
Morning started early at 6am again on the Perfect Zen. We wanted to get some diving in before the front hit. Myself, Killian, Snappa86, and Freedivehunter headed out the inlet and it was very smooth ride to the cobia grounds.
I was getting stoked as the water looked real blue (last weekend it was green and 30ft) we jump in and its 100 ft viz! Also a raging north current at 3.5 knots. It wasnt long and the bulls where coming up to the flashers with cobia in tow. Killian and I shot two nice one and then Snappa86 got his, but it took freedivehunter missing a few and losing one to a bull and he finally landed one. His first cobia and we got out limit! We headed in Jupiter because the seas got real big and there was a storm building. Ended up waiting out the storm at the square grouper and drinking few cold ones. Great day out there hope you all got out!

Re: 3/10 LWI- Bluewater Cobia Limit
Good day out there. The Perfect Zen(our boat) is proving to be a good luck charm as well as a great recent purchase. Still needs a gun rack(euro handles) and a few other minor tweaks and it will be set up perfectly for our hunting.
If you haven't tried freediving for cobia out DEEP I strongly recommend it, the depth make it very challenging timing the drops and the bull sharks are a bit more feisty than rays.

Re: 3/10 LWI- Bluewater Cobia Limit
Great report! That surface current was rippin much harder than down on the reefs. We saw that down pour on the Jupiter Inlet on the radar and it looked like a full-on fresh water gear soaker. With the way you guys shoot alot of fish, I'm just glad you don't freedive for lobster in the 90 foot stuff!!

Nice shooting. Your guys' reports are keeping me sane up here in Jax. Just waiting for when the cobia show up up here. A few more degrees in the water temp and we should be good to go.

Re: 3/10 LWI- Bluewater Cobia Limit
after splitting the fish evenly with the crew we usually give a bit to our local family members and a few friends ,
the rest is tossed on the grill or in a frying pan to make some munchies for the afterparty at one of our homes. we drink Fl swamp ape or gnarly barley and watch gopro footage and laugh at all the close calls and funny shit we didnt notice in the water. i have overnight shipped over 60lbs of frozen top choice fillets(cooler/dry ice) in the last year to my brother in ATL for his family too because i like to poke holes in fish WAY more than i enjoy poking them with a fork. Im not saying i dont like to eat fish but I am not the type to eat fish more than once a week. now BBQ pork/beef/gator/conch i could eat them shnits every day.
