State Regs

I was just reading a post by Scott under "Florida Keys" that reminded me of a nagging question I have regarding spearing off the Port A. jetties. I could have sworn I read a state regulation regarding distance etc., but haven't been able to relocate it (couldn't find anything on the TP&W site). During the summer when viz is decent (> 10 ft) my coworkers and I like to shoot sheepshead (we don't photograph them, but that's another thread) on the south jettiy during lunch, but I have feeling we're braking the law (while I am on the topic, has anybody got any stories about monofilament on the Port A. jetties). Anybody up on this stuff?
