Garmin Buys Navionics

I saw a news release that Garmin has purchased Navionics. Garmin CEO Cliff Pemble said Garmin plans to retain the Navionics brand and will continue to support existing Navionics customers. In the past Navionics was not compatible with Garmin.

Yes Garmin is going to shit no telling how bad for the customer they will get. I always praised and was very happy to recommend garmin for there great customer service.
I could call and talk to a friendly english speaking service person. Well last week I called and finally got a foreign poor english speaking person. Every time I asked a question I got a pause and could hear either a recording or person in background. Then the person would try to answer question. He finally just hung up after he kept telling me it cost to update a map on my honda hrv car that garmin supplys.

Re: Garmin Buys Navionics

Navionics (now that they are part of Garmin) has now added a bunch of cool things like SonarChart Shading which shows the bottom contours in shades of blue for quick and easy chart reading: https://www.navionics.com/usa/charts...ellite-overlay
Heatmap so you can see where the most recent changes to the charts are: https://www.navionics.com/usa/heatmap
Online chartviewer for free viewing of chart data: https://webapp.navionics.com/?lang=e...y=_cbiD~%60~wN
Trade-in rebate: https://www.navionics.com/usa/lp/rebate
and even a sale on the Platinum Chips during the month of May, 2019: https://www.navionics.com/usa/blog/p...platinum-2019/

Seems like a pretty good user experience so far...
