Opal eye on broken pole spear

So I hit Coral st. in PG on monday. calm day, good viz. I pulled a nice big rockfish(Kelp rockfish, I think) and missed another even bigger one....my pole spear was on it's way out already...the part where the head screws on is loose, dull paralyzer from hitting a couple rocks, and finally on this trip the band snapped! on the way back to shore I spotted an opal eye, and decided to just jab at it with the pole( no band!) amazingly I landed it and had my first taste of Opal eye! a little soft, but I liked the flavor, nice and mild. dusted it with cornmeal and salt and made a curry sauce to dip it in. Pretty awesome!( not as good as the coconut encrusted rockfish, though) Also I saw a leopard there the other day, not sure if I wanna take one or not, is it worth the kill?

Grass rockfish.
Head is long, large, and flat on top.

If you're using a polespear with a 3-prong, don't bother with the leopard shark. If you have the proper setup for one, the size limit is 36" and you'll have to bleed it right away.
