Identifying 'Fake" news sites

A recent opinion piece from a woman was posted in the WaPo claiming a bunch of sites, which most happened to be conservative/liberty leaning, were 'fake' news sites. Other MSM organizations decided to reprint this BS w/o any investigation of their own.
SO, I started this thread to help everyone to recognize 'fake' news sites so that they don't get misled.

Re: Identifying 'Fake" news sites

When I was a military advisor in El Salvador, the journalist who were covering the war never left the Camino Reale Hotel in the capital, and would just make up news. The truth was unimportant. Just reporting something was the name of the game. Especially if it had a leftist slant to it. One of my peers working in Lebanon witnessed a reporter paying some Muslims to stage a fake battle so he could shoot some video of them firing their weapons down an alley. My perspective of kidnapping during the 80's and 90's was that the Middle East was very dangerous, until I was working in Colombia and found out there are 2,000-3000 hostages any day of the week! So the 4 or 5 hostages in the Middle East are blown way out if proportion. The mainstream media is owned by 6 corporations, who do you think owns those corporations? There are roughly 600 billionaires in America and 1600 worldwide, not counting the trillionaires that are never identified. The media is owned by them and their sole mission is to keep us mis-informed so they stay in control. Hell, they only have to buy the 535 assholes in DC to run everything, oh wait isn't that what they do already? My bad, I'm still living in dreamland where no evil exists. The fake stream media is the people you trust. Time to wake up Neo! Take the Red pill.

Re: Identifying 'Fake" news sites

The mainstream media is nothing but pure propaganda designed to influence you to go quietly to the slaughterhouse. There three kinds of people, sheep, wolves and sheepdogs. Sheepdogs could be wolves if we wanted to, but we choose to stand between the sheep and the wolves. If you aren't one of the wolves looking to fleece the sheep, and you aren't a sheepdog watching out for the wolves, then you are a sheep. Don't be a sheep. Get informed or perish.

Re: Identifying 'Fake" news sites

This is the typical M.O. for these MSM propaganda rags. They splash some fake news all over, creating mass readership, then later append/correct the article w/ a small blurb that isn't noticed. By then, the damage is already done.

Washington Post Appends "Russian Propaganda Fake News" Story, Admits It May Be Fake

Quote:
"The Post does not itself vouch for the validity of PropOrNot’s findings regarding any individual media outlet, nor did the article purport to do so. Since publication of The Post’s story, PropOrNot has removed some sites from its list."

They have all discredited themselves, and then they have gall to claim they are the legit media? LOL, that dog won't hunt!

It's about time to start taking The Onion seriously.

Now this is rich. Brian Williams, the disgraced ex-NBC journalist who was literally fired for falsely reporting that he was in a helicopter during the Iraq war that took on combatant fire, is now going on a crusade against "fake news."

yep

2016 was the year when alternative, independent media went from being merely influential, to affecting the outcome of a Presidential election. As was widely reported, basically every single newspaper in the nation endorsed Hillary Clinton for President. The fact she lost anyway represented the greatest middle finger to the media (and the status quo generally) doled out by the American public in at least a generation.

Re: Identifying 'Fake" news sites

Hitler wrote the book. The establishment media (propagandists) are just following it.

The chief function of propaganda is to convince the masses, whose slowness of understanding needs to be given time so they may absorb information; and only constant repetition will finally succeed in imprinting an idea on their mind." Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, 1924

They can't figure out why their bullshit isn't working anymore. Maybe it is because we stopped listening.
