Bahamas Trip last week Aug 11

A video from last week's trip. We got some decent fish, but I missed a lot of action for one reason or another. The video shows a pretty difficult grouper extraction from a cave as well. No eel's in this vid.

At least you got away from this rainy weather pattern we're in and got to enjoy sunny skies and clear water.

Enjoyed the video. Nice to see good teamwork. It looks like that 3 prong tip worked perfectly on that big black.

We were all using various slip tips on the pole spears when shooting fish. I really like the inerloc sp-3 slip tip for that type of hunting

Nice but hopefully you ate all your Nassau grouper while you were over there!

We had a feast at the local restaurant, they cooked up our fish and conch and even a little lobster on the two nights we stayed there.

Re: Bahamas Trip last week Aug 11

I didn't know we could take conch, thought only Bahamians could do that. Do they have a season? maybe they were just out of season when we were there in June. Found out on our trip that we can shoot lion fish while on scuba.....have to be careful and follow their rules, but they now allow it.Had to go to the fisheries department (across the hall from Immigration in Bimini) and register with them when you get there, get the permit and then give them the details of how many and where you got them. But they do allow spearing of lion fish while on scuba, but you have to make sure you have no other speared fish on board while you have tanks on board.
