Re: Mixing Gas
For 50:1 mix, it's 2.6 fluid ounces of oil for every gallon of gas.
Some say it's better to put oil in first so the gas will mix better. Either way, shake the tank a bunch (assuming it's portable). |

Re: Mixing Gas
Go by manufaturers spec. Some motors may be 40:1, if the motors new they may recommend a heavier oil mix during breakin. If the motor is oil-injected, dont premix the oil unless youve disconnected the injection system. Call the dealer to be sure. A simple call cant hurt anything...

Re: Mixing Gas
my evinrude uses 50:1 as does most 2 strokes, but definitely go by manufacturers spec.
by far this is the easiest way to measure my oil, i have the one with the lid but the lid to me is a waste of money. just the cup is fine. it has pretty much any ratio you can think of on it. |

Re: Mixing Gas
Yes it's an Evinrude (225). disconnecting the VRO and going to mix manually.
Thanks for the help. |
