Looking for Apartment Advice in San Diego

I'm moving to the area in the next month, and looking for very low income housing. (For sure less than a thousand, but cheaper is better)

If someone has a space they would consider renting, or knows of something cheap that might not be found on "apartments dot com" etc, I would appreciate any guidance in this regard.

I'm already looking for a second job but that will be easier I figure once I am out there.

I have a few places I can bounce around to, but eventually looking to be close to ocean beach as that's the general area that I will be working in.

Hope to make some friends and get out on the water!

Re: Looking for Apartment Advice in San Diego

You're not gonna find any apartment near the beach or even close to it for $1000 or under not even close. You can rent a room around the area anywhere from $600 if lucky to $900. You can rent a 2 bedroom apartment in Bakersfield In a ghetto area for $600 no problem but that's a 2 hour drive to the beach. Good luck California is expensive as fucc!

Edit: just saw you were looking in the San Diego area. Not sure how the prices are out there but if it's anything like Ventura County then it's expensive.

cheep prices might be in Chula Vista. I also looking for apartment near the Ocean and it;s very difficult and I am ok to pay 2K, so your chances is low, but You might find something with room mate in 1000 range

Yeah, too bad that's the daily rate. Too good to be true...

"This is a fully furnished vacation rental. Rates displayed are normally the daily rate. This is not a monthly or long term renrtal."

Re: Looking for Apartment Advice in San Diego

Thanks for the assist guys. Couch surfing at this point. Making contacts and have a few leads. Hopefully will be finding a place sooner rather than later. Was offered more money for a job in Miami yesterday.

Who knows where I will be next week.
