Bleutec Raptor 115

Hey guys,

Been looking at the Bleutec Raptor for a while now and have been waiting to the pull the trigger on getting one. I wanted to know if anyone on here has one and can give me some feed back on the gun itself? Really looking for how the gun tracks, its weight, and ease of diving and swimming with. I intend to use this gun for shooting bottom fish on deep wrecks (100-140ft) in Miami and The Keys so my goal was to get a gun that is nice and light to dive with but still produces a nice punch. If anyone has used one and has some real-world feedback on the gun I would love to hear it.

Thanks guys!

IMHO....Owned one and used it. Didn't like it, sold it. Handles and tracks like poop, too much recoil, trigger sucked (heard trigger mechs changed) and Expensive. Many other better choices out there.

Yes I tested this long time back. The 2 things mentioned that were not good is accurate. The line release could block the shaft sear from dropping if you had a bungee attached ... and that could cause a seriously dangerous misfire. Also the handle was designed with an index finger that is for maybe 1% of humans ... just way too far ... this would setup the recoil to go into your thumb. With 7mm shaft and 2 bands, things are controllable ... but more than that is going to be difficult.

Having said that I read somewhere that both these issues have been fixed, so I would make sure I checked that I have the fixed version if I wanted to buy one. It is an extremely expensive gun though ... and many better and cheaper options today if you just want a setup for a 7mm shaft.

Good to hear all the feedback, from my understanding I should just save my money. The dream would be to get a Demka ALS 110 carbon, but those are near impossible to find. I shot one of those and fell in love. Handle is very comfortable and the gun moves through the water like nothing else. But basically just looking for a light railgun to throw a 7mm or 7.5mm shaft. Preferably with cuttle fish shape as I believe it tracks better.
