Windfinder allows you to, however you can only go back so far and then they charge for the info...

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Went 5-10 miles west out of N Pinellas this weekend in about 20-30 feet. Viz was dogshit. Could not see the bottom until you were actually on it. Horizontal viz was some of the worst I've seen (maybe 5 feet?).

Hogs, mangroves, and to my surprise a nice 23" red grouper. Also got a king while trolling between spots.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Sunday 2/12/17 out of Sarasota reefs
M2 7miles off 5-6' viz decided not to shoot this reef
M4 9 miles off 7-8' viz hogs gags mangos Sherpas. Good fish.
M7 14 miles off 12-15' viz AJ's mangos Sherpas not a lot of good fish here.
Wind died down to flat in the afternoon. Water temp read 66-67* on the depth finder all day. Had a Jewfish steal my Sherpa and kept my shaft on M4... Bastard cost me a shaft! Overall a fun day!

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

Out of JP yesterday (2/19). Battled some crazy fog slow poking out about 18 miles or so. No wind or waves pretty much all day. Viz in 60 - 75 feet of water was outstanding. Water color was nice. Probably had 30 feet or more of viz horizontal and vertical. Found some real nice hogs and some keeper red grouper, something we haven't seen in forever. Gags and American Red Snapper on every spot and nice sized. Grabbed a big spiny lobster and 3 slipper tails. Three trips in a row in this general area that we've gotten a spiny and multiple slippers.

Re: Current Vis - Tampa Bay Region (Homosassa to Sarasota)

It was 65 degrees top to bottom. With how warm it is up top, not really a big deal in 5 mil suit.

65 - 67F depending on depth Fri and Sun. Red snapper everywhere. Still jacks lingering in the 50 - 70lb. range 90' and deeper off Pinellas.
