Yeah. Right handed. If it wasn't for the blisters and the risk of infection, I'd still go.

Re: Rigs & Reef Spearfishing Classic Tournament

For Port Aransas I'm showing 2.5'-4' seas on Friday. 2.5' seas is doable, but anything over that isn't something I'm willing to try.

Re: Rigs & Reef Spearfishing Classic Tournament

From a event host stand point I can always refund diver entry fee's and hold prizes till a later date can be set. At the end of the day I don't want to see people risk anything for a chance to shoot a fish. The Company's who support this event have been gracious enough to donate prizes and I have them. They would be better one on a better day. If I decide to cancel it will be Wednesday of this week! Any divers who have paid, and wish to cancel please request a refund via paypal. Or Text me or email me? Or call! This is why I used paypal way easier to track! 503-298-0592, blacknbluepb@yahoo.com. Obviously I want to see an event that will last and become annual! 2'-5' seas forcast is still a few days out so I have time to talk and track weather! All is good and I truly appreciate your support! On a side note I did dive all weekend and had 20-30' via inshore and offshore! Tons of snapper on inshore rigs, lots of sheephead, and a few huge black drum! Cobia are thick if you can find the rigs nine miles and farther offshore! Epic weekend of free diving between 40-70' beautiful water!

Re: Rigs & Reef Spearfishing Classic Tournament

This event pretty much has been put on by me with your help! As a Surfman with 17years experience I think the seas are gonna be 2-3' Friday and Saturday with Saturday rising to maybe 5' in late evening! 5-10kts is common! If everyone head's in around 2-3pm Saturday we should be good to go, for this event. Jetty's are always good in AM as well as nearshore rigs! I don't see any issue with that? I would assume most people will hunt Saturday till noon and head in? Based on forecast I say it's a go! Next week Sunday - Wednesday a system is moving in! I think we have a window! I want your opinion's, so please comment! I will make the final decision tomorrow! So far looks good!

Re: Rigs & Reef Spearfishing Classic Tournament

Friday 2-3's Sat 4-5's. Friday I think it doable. Saturday may be tricky with Rigs 4-5 footers. I'm up for whatever. Just let me know if any of you that are going with me won't make it. JD I will take you up on your offer to come over Thursday night to prep. Dave if you have time Thursday evening as well to help get the Trophy in the water that would be great. Unless enough people cancel we can all go on the Pursuit. And of course today is flat as a pancake!!! Just the way diving goes!
