STOLEN DIVE GEAR - DOWNTOWN SANTA BARBARA
My car window was broken a couple of weeks ago and some thieves stole some dive gear of mine, in addition to a few other things. Some of this gear is uniquely identifiable. The more notable dive gear items are listed below: Blue-digital camo DiveR medium fins with 45/46 Omer Stingray footpockets Black Akona mesh duffel bag – one of the clips for one of the shoulder straps was busted Yazbeck carbone wetsuit jacket (black camo pattern) Clear lens Riffe Nekton mask with black Cressi mask strap cover Amber lens Riffe Nekton mask with black Cressi mask strap cover Riffe stable snorkel (there is a tiny spec of tar on the purging valve) Riffe Terminator knife with sheath 33’ white floatline with orange spectra ends Rob Allen bait ball shore flasher, contained in a bright yellow capsule There were not many of that particular pattern of DiveR fins sold in this country, so they should really stick out like a sore thumb. I only recall one or two other California divers owning that particular pattern. One of them lives in northern California. If anyone sees or hears anything, it would be greatly appreciated if you could get in touch with me. I’m not going to stop looking for my stolen gear. I can’t use my PM on this site, so please contact me via the following email address: ajpdives@gmail.com Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. |

Lost carbon fiber fins
I'm about to throw up. Back when I was making more $$$ I splurged and got myself some really nice carbon fiber fins. On June 9th I took my son on his first dive at the islands and he got his first fish. He was so stoked.
We were cleaning up and moving things from my buddy's boat to the truck and I think I may have left my fins at the hose-off area at the public launch ramp at Channel Islands Harbor public launch ramp. I can't afford to replace them now so if anyone saw them, I'd really appreciate your help. I would have posted sooner but I thought they were misplaced in my garage. I just checked and I don't have them. |

Re: California Spearos Lost and Found
My dive buddy just lost his brand new weight belt at the Pipe today. New silver weights still had price stickers on them. In the shallows just before the kelp.
If you find them, please let me know. Thanks. |

Re: California Spearos Lost and Found
Hi, lost my mask and gopro mounted on it to the surf at Monarch/Salt Creek Beach at Dana Point. Just in front of the grey container and the current was going north. Would be nice to know if someone finds it. No skin flicks or other interesting footage on the card. Will be traveling back to Finland on 4th Jul, so not much hope of searching for it myself...
The mask was Omer Alien Seagreen, and a self made gopro mount for Hero4 black with a battery bacpac. Duct tape inside the housing has my e-mail: salaseivastajat (at) gmail dot com Interesting to see if these things ever pop up...

Re: California Spearos Lost and Found (CAR, TRUNK FULL OF GEAR)
Update: Car found in LAPD Hollenbeck's territory, after twelve days. Signs of being rode far, and hard, real hard, but already belongs to Insurance Co.
Paddle and pole spear the only things not stolen. Go figure. So my car was stolen in the Highland Park / South Pasadena area last night with a s-load of kayak, fishing, diving gear. Ready for a week off of tooling around on the coast. Yeah it was all beneath the rear cover, I packed it at work in a private lot, and the vehicle has no hobby stickers betraying valuable contents, so it's just a random act of sociopathic thievery. Eff thieves. Stolen (besides my old pos cr-v with 248k miles, lol, and miscellaneous crap that collects in a car owned for 18 years): Kayak Gear Seat with a broken zipper. Nearly destroyed gray and blue PFD with signal whistle and mirror Adventure Technology Ergo Paddle. $$$. Carbon handle, white fiberglass paddle Red 10L dry bag, holding clothing items. Columbia PFG Sun Hoodie, white with american flag graphics White, Tan sun hoods and tore-up sun gloves Green XL speedo, lol Lifeguard style woven straw hat Thule rack with kayak saddles Red Offroad Crocs, which usually were left in plain view to throw off thieves, i.e. "Can't possibly be anything of value here." Medium size otterbox, brown and clear w/fishing licenses, grrrrr 2ft fiberglass gaff Basspro bogo knockoff Giant dive stringer, homemade from a spear shaft Scottie conventional rod holder Opportunistic Tackle Box (red plastic Folgers container, black lid, yellow lash cord with small tuna clips, fits perfect in a 6" hatch) 1 each white and chrome/blue surface iron and yoyo jigs Couple each lucky craft 125, bomber long shot 5" crankbaits, in fluorescent chartreuse and custom painted dark bronze Some jig heads and powerbait swimbaits, in white and dark brown red flake Miscellaneous live bait hooks, mostly Owner, little spools of 40 and 20 fluoro Some 1/2oz - 1oz tungsten pitching weights and powerbait worms, gamakatsu 5/0 hooks, miscellaneous plastics. The small stuff is packed in unusual containers, re-purposed bio lab plasticware, boxes, vials. Very distinctive. "Opportunistic Summer Dive" stuff Cheap black mask, low volume style Large Rob Allen "Cray Bag" holding most of the gear Homemade cable stringer Hyperflex Access gloves, some glue patches Sporasub? camo snorkel with fluoro tip Shortie Silicone Fins, mostly gray, Speedo Earplugs. Good ones. Argos booties, nicely broken in Sporasub Black 1.5mm lined 2-pce waist-high and beavertail suit, XL, some seams giving Generic belt rubber with 4 TinMan weights, ~9lb Oyster knife, modified, sharpened tip, serrated sides MY MFING LINGHUNT 3-PIECE POLESPEAR WITH PARALYZER Can only hope my car's on channel 9 tonight, "tragic end for suspects in a stolen car chase" or something. I'm all about understanding and compassion, but thieves and bullies can die painfully and go through the wood chipper, so Yahveh can't make them rise whole at the resurrection. Sorry, I'm a little vulnerable now. Cross-posting to CA Forum, if there's a problem with that lemme know.

Lost C4 fin at Leo carillo
My buddy lost both fins and I was able to recover one. Searched for like half an hour with no luck for the other. Location was about 100 yards south of the stairs. Maybe 20-30 yards out. If found you will be rewarded with a pack of beer of your choice. Call 8054282536 thanks!

GoPro Hero 5. Found N. Monastery. Was lost 1.5 years ago I’d guess. Has photos of young lady with a spear and fish on outer left leg with a kelp stalk growing from her foot up her leg.

Re: California Spearos Lost and Found
I am 100% certain I left this gun I just bought up against some chain link fence at a favorite dive spot of mine in Malibu. Pretty bummed! If you have it, I hope you'll let me know.
