Up here the record is 87lbs. Dont see fish like that every day. One day i'd like to go to NZ and spear a huge YT and then put an arrow in a big Red Stag on the same trip. Adding to Bucket list |

What do you mean different class? As in they're a different species?

Robert Strohbach has a picture of him with A New Zealand yellowtail from 20 years ago he speared well over 100 pounds.

I could have sworn it was like 120lbs-but he obviously didn't submit it.

Re: 50.75lb Yellowtail. New PB.
They say they are somewhat different. I know the tail is a little bigger on our local Yellow tails than the new Zealand ones.

Nice solid Fish Tanc!!! You will never forget this one!! Happy for you!!
This is a very big fish for Mexico Standards and for here it would be a Lifetime fish, the Fathomier's all time record in California still is 59.8 lbs by Dr Glass.

Re: 50.75lb Yellowtail. New PB.
That aint a fish, that's a bloody whale. Look at the head on that second pic.
On another note, that house and yard in the background really makes me miss home. I can hear the birds a' chirpin'.
