Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Had a go at building a of 145cm inverter. Overall length 165cm. 10mm Hunt double offset flopper shaft.
My mate wanted one so built 2 guns.
20mm bands through the back rollers and the rest 19mm bands.
Carbon strips between the laminate to stop the gun flexing.
Two 19mm x 6mm ceramic's bearings in each Delrin rollers.
Titanium stopper tube to reduce weight to help ballast the 1.1kg shaft and 1.6mm coated cable.
Ermes double roller trigger.

magnificent manufacture,

the mechanism ermes manages to manage all this power?

For the rubbers, you start with which coefficient ?

I am fascinated by this manufacturing

Looks Fantastic! Can you make Pool Test Videos? Why 10mm? Sounds heavy?

Yes the Ermes triggers handles the load easy. The pulleys halve the load to the trigger mechanism.

This is quite a powerful gun, need a heavier shaft to stop the shaft whipping. Plus get very good penetration.

I have tried to upload video's of pool testing with target and XPS constitution foam that Majd recommended. But cannot.

I tried to contact the Spearboard administer. Email bounces back with this reply.<spearmax@spearboard.com>: host mail.spearboard.com[3.233.33.92] said: 550

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

Looks like the 20 mm wrap around bands anchor just rearwards of the muzzle nose, so when cocked they occupy both top and bottom decks at full length. Usually we don't see that anchor position so far forwards, but there is no reason not to do it that way if the bands sit in upper troughs as they do here.

Nice looking gun with good woodwork and a 4 band group, just the thing for a 10 mm shaft.

Woah! Those beasts look amazingly powerful!

Why don't you upload the videos to Youtube or Vimeo?

This site only lets images to be uploaded of a few hundred KB, videos need to be referenced via links to some other site that handles videos.

Thanks.
I thought why not use every centimetre of the gun for the band stretch. The shaft speed is extremely fast.

This is the weight without the shaft & bands.
With the 10mm hunt double flopper shaft and 11.2 meters of 1.6mm vinyl coated cable, plus the bands. The gun weighs 5.632kg

Re: Made a 145cm inverter, 10mm shaft

3.432 kg is good, you want mass if you are going to shoot heavy shafts which have good hitting power at long range. Seal's 130 (Kosta) weighs 2.5 kg with bands, my Urukay 120 cm weighs 2.57 kg bare.
