I have never experienced better customer service with any product, period.

My opinion... get both!

Both gun makers are excellent craftsmen & certified fish slayers. You can't go wrong either way.

Re: Sea Sniper vs. Wong

Seasnipers are BEAUTIFUL, lethal, guns. They also cost a hell of a lot more than the wongs, and the seasnipers are no better at killing than the wongs.

Me, I'm cheap (I actually prefer frugal, so between the 2, I'd say go with the wong.

Like Scott said, there are alternatives out there - Phil Herranen is a great example - great guns - innovative guns - at a stellar price.... Beter bang for your buck IMO and E

Re: Sea Sniper vs. Wong

Daryl Wong makes one hell of a gun and has the BEST customer service ever. The Mahi and the Ono are both outstanding guns and have been proven over the years. I have used both and for a true Bluewater gun, I would go with the Ono. I think the biggest selling point is the Aloha that comes with the purchase. Daryl has always helped make his guns fit my needs whether it was over the phone or at his office. I am a fairly hard sell and will not be buying any guns that don't have his name on them.

Stay well,

I would also consider Phil Herranen's Guns.
Other things to think about when spending your money is buying from the manufacturers that supported (and still support) spearo's in the MLPA process.
Seems like we have forgotten about the hard work and efforts certain manufactures have put forth only a few months when we needed their help.
You have a lot of options and some great choices to choose from.
Good luck on your trip and post up some pics when you get your new gun.

Seasniper!
If you have the cash to even think about one of his guns why the hell not buy the farrari?
I checked out your location on google maps and you live pretty close to chris. Give the guy a call so he can build you a gun that perfectly suits your needs.

I own a Sea Sniper. I Love it! I've shot a Wong. Loved it. I also own a Riffe No Ka Oi. Love it. I think you should get in the water with all kinds of comparable guns and see what feels good to you. There are plenty of spearos here to let you try their guns. Cost of each gun is different. Did I mention that I love my Sea Sniper? Good luck!

What ever you choose, it will be a good choice.

One thing I recommend. If you are going on a big trip like this and your getting a brand new gun for it, its very important to practice with it well before your trip and get use to it. Last thing you want to do is go on your trip and start messing up on shots on record fish that will haunt you for years to come after the trip.

Good Luck

Best advice on here!!! These are all excellent guns put out by innovators and statesmen. You won't go wrong with any of them. But...do as Richie says....

+258 or however many others said Wongs. (In all fairness, I've never shot a Seasniper). Daryl's customer service is the best.
I got a 63" super magnum for "bigger fish". We have really good vis here most all the time so it's now my number one. I use it all the time.
