Re: Don't Forget to Return Your Lobster Card
If I remember right, we only need to fill out the form online and submit. We don't have to postal mail the card in, unless they send request. Am I correct?

Re: Don't Forget to Return Your Lobster Card
Thanks for attaching the link Erin. I submitted mine online and it did not take that long either.
This was a tough season. I never saw so many short lobsters missing antennae. No doubt there is a ton of increased pressure on the resource- I had never seen so many divers buggin' or so many commercial lobster pods. Plus, there was a commercial boat working the LB/LA breakwall on hooka everyday- DFW was no where to be found. On a positive note, I have been seeing many small and medium sized bugs packed full of eggs.

Re: Don't Forget to Return Your Lobster Card
Erin,
Every habitat is jacked! I tried diving your waters once and there was a thin layer of oil for miles. PV has DDT and Catalina has 5 diver for every one bug. Also, consider this, China sells us Tilapia and every restaurant serves it up as a “fine fish.” Breakwall lobsters, Lompoc lonster, PV lobsters, no lobsters; pick your poison.

Every habitat is not "jacked". The coastal Santa Barbara area is very clean. We do get a thin sheen in the Goleta area during portions of the year as the result of natural seepage but otherwise we have VERY little contamination of any kind. Northern channel islands are even more pristine. Also, SBI, Nicolas and Clemente all absolutely gorgeous. Anything south of SB, different story. I sure as hell wouldn't eat lobster taken off the Long Beach breakwall, that's for sure.
