No, and I'm not expecting it to turn up. Tough lesson learned.

I'm thinking about switching it up to a Pathos Laser Open Pro 100 or 110. I reached out to Petros.

Re: My first Yellowtail

That sucks... That wouldn't be a bad idea at all, fairly inexpensive and a great shooter. Petros is the man, if you ever head out that way let me know I'm always up for a trip to re-up on some gear. Its quite a drive so a carpool buddy wouldn't be a bad idea.

Haha, I know at least one other guy who shoots mutant slobs

Take the friendly ribbing in stride Kapono. If I had shot a fish that size my Captain would have called it a "trout" and laughed at me. It's happened more than once

But you're right, they all eat the same. YT is freakin dee-lish and I hope you prepped that thing for a lady or two

You could try some traditional tuna recipes like poke, tartar, or flash fried in sesami oil.

I always like to marinate the YT in teriyaki and then BBQ it on the grill if I'm gonna cook it. Smoking it turns out pretty unreal too. I usually like to smoke the collars and the ribs.

Whatever you do, just keep it simple and you'll be rewarded.

Re: My first Yellowtail

Panko style is excellent with Yellowtail, Lompoc's reccomendation is also delicious...

You really can't go wrong with YT that is for sure!

You can also wrap in foil with olive oil, lemon, salt, also excellent table fare.

Let's see some pics of the final product!

That all sounds delicious... I actually did the flash fry in sesame oil last night with a little bit of furikake (Japanese rice seasoning) OMG! Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Good deal dude. I don't think anyone would have passed on that shot. I wish you had your goPro on so we could see the one that nearly took your mask off.
