Re: Daily Vis report thread

Haha no kidding. I was fishing offshore 5-7 miles and it looked good. Borderline blue water. Maybe that will blow in closer to shore soon.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

When the seas are rough it takes a few days normally to clean up. Depending on wind, rain, tide, etc the vis could get good or bad . Some spots are better after a good rain , some are good at low tide, you have to check them out. Sometimes the ocean surf vis sucks and you can go behind the inlet and have good vis or take a boat out a few miles and have 40ft. Friday the vis out of Barnegat was good but up North out of Shark River the vis was poor. Tomorrow it may be the opposite.

I would be careful of some of the reports I have seen on here as far as conditions go and check it out yourself because its definitely not over, its just getting started.

I'm down for another trip. Gotta watch for calm weather. My boat doesn't do well in anything over 3ft

Re: Daily Vis report thread

conditions looked terrible at squan yesterday, especially at the mouth of the inlet with 4-5' swells. Jumped in anyway and found good vis, triggers, bass, and stargazer on the bottom.

Re: Daily Vis report thread

My buddy was in BI on Friday. While it was fishable, it wasn't good. 5 feet....

Same Saturday, 3-5 feet. The vis is garbage. While it makes it easier to spear a striper, it makes it rather unenjoyable really. But it is what it is....

Re: Daily Vis report thread

I hit BI yesterday and it was pretty bad. I'd say 2-5 mostly, a bit more in some areas. The ocean side was really bad. I found some triggers and saw iffy bass. When I did see what looked like a legal bass, it was in a bad vis area. I checked out Avalon today, but it was all mucked up from the beach replenishment going on down there. The whole shoreline is a dirty mess. Nilsonov, it's been a while! Hope all is well with you. Let me know when you're going to be around.
