Thumbs up Mid-Atlantic General Chat/ Discussion Thread

Hello all. I have made threads like this in a couple other forums I am part of and they seem to be very popular. I didnt see one on here so I figured why not.

This is a spot to talk about trips, viz, guns, wetsuits, and well anything really, without having to make a new thread for everything. Its keeps everything local and consolidated.

If this thread is not ideal please let me know and I will remove it.

Re: Mid-Atlantic General Chat/ Discussion Thread

Yeah, I mean you run a very slim chance of getting vis tomorrow. Even if you do get enough to get the job done it would only be in an inlet etc. and there's not a whole lot of fish yet. Vis and fishyness changes fast this time of year so you may not have to wait too long.

We dove SRI on scuba today, vis was bad, 3'-4', needed my light to see anything around the bridge...was like a beach dive down there, so much sand has washed into the inlet, especially on the avon side. We got out after 30 minutes. Was a waste of time.

I find its more reliable than MI or BI for any kind of decent viz.

Dude if Shark River sucks too bad for ya time to move to Cozumel or something. I go there when I absoutey cant find vis elsewhere, dispite my dislike of the place with the crowds and dummys shooting out of season undersized fluke and blackfish like its their jobs.
